Searching through my B-29 files this week in a cabinet in the basement, I rediscovered that I have a clipping from the old GRIT newspaper dated March 23, 1969 Family Section, page 26, titled: "His Home: Grounded Airplane"

It's a story with two color photos (now yellowed) of a fellow in the Atlanta area named Bill Kunz who obtained a house on a heavily wooded 12-acre tract from Paul Ringsmith that had a B-29 forward fuselage/nose converted into a living room.

I think I posted about this a couple of years back and someone on WIX who lived near Atlanta was going to check it out. I never heard anything.
I'm wondering if it still exists and if the serial of the B-29 can be determined. Ringsmith was employed at a technical school as an instructor where the B-29 was purchased.

Anyone got any current day info on this? I will try to post top half of clipping below:

I'll try again to post the scan. For some reason my scanner is only producing B&W images right now. I'll cut the text on the original and rearrange so you can read the whole article then repost in a few minutes.

Scott, I hope this is legal on this old clipping ???

Here is the full article after some re-arranging. Makes you wonder how many others might have tried something like this?

I always thought a summer cottage made from a C-124 somehow put on top of a hill would have been cool. No chopping of the airframe though!

A much better use than turning it into soda cans.

I dunno, I think it's pretty cool myself. I hope it's still out there somewhere. :D
