Indiana Aviation Museum T-28 Mishap Pilot & Passenger OK

Sun Aug 12, 2007 10:13 pm

The Indiana Aviation Museum's T-28B Trojan overshot a runway today at the Joliet Airport. The plane went over a small ledge and into a small creek. I don't know the extent of the damage to the plane but both the pilot and passenger are OK.

The plane is based at the Porter County Airport in Valparaiso, IN.

Dang, the last several weeks hasn't been good with warbirds. I hate times like this. We are trying to increase the numbers of warbirds flying but there is always something fighting us from acheiving total accomplishment. :(

We won't rest until every warbird is restored, saved, or put back to flying. 8)

Cathy Harrell is a friend, I was chating with her at Osh, and I have flown with Jim. Thankfully she and the other pilot are ok.

I had the pleasure of meeting Cathy Harrell in 2003 and I have to say she and Jim are the nicest individuals in the warbird movement. I'm glad both she and her passenger are alright.
