A very wild guess is a P-36, but who knows???

Hey Jack, the Photo says A36 when you save it and your caption says P-51A, which one do you think it is? I can't see the flaps good enough to see if they are dive brakes.

My uneducated guess would be a P-40...looks like it's got a scoop under the nose.

It's not a P-40 or a P-36. IF you look the wheels retract inward. Im going to guess its a P-43.

And the wheels are outboard of the struts on the P-36/P-40.

A-36 had dive brakes in the wings- flaps were the same.

That was my thought as well.

Figure'd we could send the P43 warbird dreamers to Alaska hunting for one :)
