If anyone knows of any F-94s that don't appear in the list above, please let me know.

Mike

Mike, it is a F-94C, if you want to be anal like me about listing it on your site :)

Thanks for sharing!

Right now I am just listing the base model. At some point I would like to make the specific model and serial number info available. I am collecting that info in a privates notes category which can't be seen in the Locator.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

OH ok, not a problem. I will probably be updating your stuff with information that I know off hand for you that you dont have listed in the next couple of days. I have been so busy, but now have a little time to share more information to you.

Awesome looking bird! Like the paint scheme too. Was it the scheme actually used back in the day?

Regarding:
"There's one sitting on a post in the campground at Oshkosh as well."

I've seen this a/c many times and it's definitely a T-33....

Is that the one in Camp Scholler, behind the Barn store? I could have swore it was a 94.
I'll agree, the 94 above is very well taken care of.

Yep, it's the one located behind the Barn. Unfortunately, it's starting to look a bit weathered. Thought the EAA might have an F-94 somewhere else, but none are listed in the EAA Museum inventory.

[b] I have written a book which covers ADC operations in the Northeast from 1952 to 1960. Lots of photos from private collections and first hand flying stories. Includes P-51's, F-80C's, F-86F's, F-86D's. F-89C's, D's and J's, F-94C's and early Century Series fighters flown from Griffiss, Presque Isle, Dow and Ethan Allen AFB. Hard cover, 400+ photos and color profiles. Excellent source for early generation jet researchers.

A limited number are still available. $54.95 including postage. Check or money order, no credit cards.

I bought a copy of Bill Green's book years ago.It is very a comprehensive account of ADC missions. It contains some of the most interesting accounts of Cold War all weather missions that I've read.It took some fearless crews, especially those in single engine fighters without inflight refuelling capability.Making a GCA approach to minimus on fumes seemed to happen often in the early days. The book contains a large number of unique pictures and first person stories.Early in the book, there are several stories concerning the use of F-51H Mustangs in ADC.There are some interesting pictures of the results of take-off and landing excusions by jet pilots trying to transion into these airplanes.Obviously,I highly recommend this book.
