It was another great day of flying some of which was caught on this video shot by the local TV station. To bad they didn't stay around for the Harvards!

http://www.achannel.ca/ottawa/news_46471.aspx

The day before I got to talk with Howard Cook as he helped Dave Hadfield get the Foxmoth up, we had a very interesting discussion on flying the Hurricane, in hot weather.
Another interesting person on hand was Ed 'Fido" Savage - DSO, DSC, M.I.D.,
Total Deck Landings: 194 day and 4 night.
Service Aircraft Flown: Avro 504, Avro Tutor, Tiger Moth, Hart, Osprey, Nimrod, Fairey IIIF, Seal, Swordfish, Fulmar, Barracuda, Walrus, Spitfire V & IX & XIV, Seafire L2C & XII, XV, Shark, Skua, Roc, Gladiator, Martlet, Wildcat, Hellcat, Corsair, Proctor, Master, Beechcraft, Firefly, Harvard, ME-109, Cessna 150, Otter, Chipmunk, Auster, Meteor 7, Sea Hawk, Vampire, Hiller, Bell, HUP, H04S-3, Caman, Oxford, Anson, Mosquito, DC-3, B-29, Lodestar, Reliant, Twin Otter, Baby Gruneau, Kranich II, Olympia, T-33, 126, Blanik Astair, Twin Astair, LS-1)
What an interesting chap to listen to.

I might get a chance to work on my photos today, but I shot more video than stills.

If anyone is planning to come to the last open house for this year (Setpember 1st) be sure to ask around for me. I'll be wearing one of the orange shirts. The next open house features fighters. We MAY even have a CF-188 on the ramp.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Hmm... I'll be living in North Bay then... (actually moving this Friday) maybe I'll be able to take a trip out there.
