Thu Aug 02, 2007 4:28 pm

Ok, was wondering would anyone be interested in starting a thread of posting pictures of every B-17 left in existance? Be it flying or static, or restoration, or crash site. C'mon folks, lets see some recent pics of these old B-17's. And see what is all out t here of the B-17 and all those colorful markings and nose art! :D

Ok, I guess I will start....

John,
FYI, she was "Aluminum Overcast" when you took that photo. It had the "AO" nose art on the left side. The name was given to the B-17 by Bill Harrison, George Enhorning, Max Hoffman and maybe a few others when they first purchased her back in the late 1970's. After a few years, they donated it to EAA. Bill Harrison may have been the major contributor at that time.
