Sorry these took soooooo long to post. I've been really busy and have continually forgotten to put them up here. Better late than never I guess. These were taken a while ago.

Looks like a fairly extensive project. I'm curious as to who is the new owner and where in Canada it's going.

Cheers,

David

The owner is Peter Ram (spelling?) and it will be kept in his hangar in St Catharines. Plan is to have it flying next summer. He has people working on it on a full time basis. Other aircraft in his hangar include 2 powered gliders, a Wacco reproduction Biplane, a Piper Meridean and a L-39 Albatross.

I wish I had gotten a chance to photograph the L-39, but my batteries died. It's a really sleek machine, in excelent condition.

Joe Shepherd’s LOCKHEED 12A N2072 has been seen flying in Georgia, after 20 year of down time. The restoration inside the cabin is still in the work along with the paint job. I will try to get some photos.

Any updates on progress?

Looks to be a very thorough restoration including reskinning of areas. Wow, it'll be better than new!

Sounds like good progress is being made... but no new pics to share. Estimating return to the air late summer.

Speaking of Lockheed, does anyone know whatever became of a Lockheed Model 11(That's what I was told it was- and it was a Lockheed, had the red comet on the Vert. stabs.) that sat for years at what is now "South Jersey Regional Airport" KVAY in Lumberton, NJ?(South Jersey Regional was formerly known as Burlington County Airpark, and originally Cameron Field)

The aircraft was there until the mid 1980s- I lost track of when it went away, and don't know the registration number...

There was also, at the same time, a flying Twin Beech C-45, which belonged to the Ripcord Para-Center, which also went away in the 80's or 90's

Some photos of Joe's Lockheed dressed up for the Earhart movie. They are in Toronto.
