B-36 memories

Harrowing and amusing tales of the Cold War, from the vantage point of flight crews of the B-36 Peacemaker. Good reading.

I vividly remember the B-36 sound from days visiting my grandparents in El Paso, Texas in the 1950s.

Long after the last B-36 was gone, I heard a somewhat similar aircraft sound over Guam in 1975 or so and looked up to see a C-124 (four R-4360s, right?) Not quite the same but similar.
