I have a friend from the UK who will be in the Cincinnati area later this summer and he is a big fan of propliners. I was wondering if anyone might have any information on the following.

Are there still any Miami Valley Aviation DC-3s or Beech 18s at Middletown OH?

Does Rhoades still have any aircraft at Columbus IN or Seymour IN?

Do you know of any other propliners say within 100 miles of Cincinnati?

Thanks for your help!

DC8JET -

I was at Middletown two years ago and they were still there. A few weeks ago, I took a trip with a friend who used to fly DC-3s for them (and who still lives fairly close to there) told me most were still there. I'll e-mail him and ask again for confirmation and let you know. Come to think of it, I'll dig up those photo files and post them as well.

Enjoy the Day! Mark

Hi DC8JET -

Jake told me that he has heard that Basler bought all the DC-3s but one or two of the Beech 18s are still there. He's not been there to confirm that.

Here's pics from March of '05 when I stopped by.

Enjoy the Day! Mark

Great shots Mark! I shot them about two years ago but it was one of those days where the sun was in and out so mine didn't come out as well as yours did. I had heard that Basler bought them so I figured that they might be up at OSH. Thanks for the info.

Karl
