On the US Civil Register as of July 11, 2007, the new owner of Focke Wulf Fw-190D-13 836017 N190D "yellow 10" is listed as Vulcan Warbirds, Seattle....in other words billionaire Paul Allen and his Flying Heritage Collection! This beautiful and extremely rare warbird has been on display at the Museum of Flight Seattle, on loan from Doug Champlin after a complete restoration by Dave Goss. Since the FHC policy/goal has been to eventually have all of their warbirds fly at least several times a year, I wonder if this applies to the Dora? Wouldn't that be a VERY cool sight and sound!!

I believe I got a picture of her while she was undergoing restoration at the ex-Champlin Fighter Museum in Mesa, before its acquisition by The Museum of Flight...

I think it's the same a/c but could be wrong. It was very hard to have a clear look back then, back in 2004... Anyone else can confirm this ?

I gotta say that I am a huge fan of the Museum of Flgiht, so I am kind of wishing she stays with them. They are a first class place.

Ha Ha! :lol: No, but I am not against a static museum, and support them. Although it does seem like this aircraft would be a good one to be flown. Y'all know how I feel about static museums.

it looks too perfect, like a model airplane, not real. It would be neat if they would do some engine runups and leave the exhaust stains, oil on the cowling and grass in the tire treads. Would at least smell like a real live FW-190.
