WOW! Sorry I can't come up with any better superlatives :) Thunder certainly lived up to it's name this year when all 15 of the Mitchells thundered over the crowd...VERY COOL guys! So many stories told by all of the friendly and accomodating crews...even when they had gotten there at midnight! Great bunch of people and I thank you all for taking the time to talk to myself and all of the others who stopped to admire all of your hard work! Now, all we can hope is that the young boys with the "gaming" truck will put some music on that is much more befitting of a gathering of Mitchells such as this and not that "crap" music!

I thought that the Belle looked marvelous in her weathered paint and hope that Mr Tallichet leaves her that way for some time to come. Kinda hoped to see more Thunderbolts there than Mustangs, but all of the fellas there were also just as friendly as everyone else that I talked to. Something about that fresh Michigan air that puts everyone in a good and talkative mood?

No idea how the fellas running the show will ever top this years'...I am sure they will try. Fantastic job guys... :drink3:

Here's a few pictures of our arrival on Saturday and of some of the birds taxiing by us during the show.

Well, here's 3...sorta. Poor picts, but the crowds were getting pretty large by that point in the morning.

First is Glamerous Gal

Second is Gentleman Jim...and the third is the Blue Nosed Shangri-La. Couldn't get a pic, the cops were kicking us off the ramp by then.

Never did see the other 2.

U da man, many thanks for your time,

Two days in a row the B-25 crews were able to get 15 Mitchells up, what a fantastic sight and a job well done by everyone.

The grand finale, 15 B-25s approach show centre.

Any idea as to how many Flying B-25s did not attend?

I did notice that my favorite Mitchell (until Dan's PBJ-1J gets in the air  ) B-25H Barbie III wasn't in the line up.

Anyone know if there was a reason for this?

There are 40 or so, depending on maintenance issues that are flyable and 4 of those are outside of North America. "Barbie III" has been spending some time in the Southwest. I sure wish I could have seen that many Mitchells in action. The most I have seen at once was 12. An amazing effort by the organizers of that event.
