Hi folks,

If you hadn't seen it yet, a bunch of operators are offering warbird rides at the Geneseo Airshow in a week and a half. If you want the UNIQUE opportunity to fly off a grass field in a B-17, P-51, T-6, Pitcairn Mailwing, C-45, or Tiger Moth... then Geneseo is your chance!

There are only 2 places in the US where you can ride in a B-17 on a grass field... Geneseo is one of them!

See more details at: http://www.1941hag.org/files_airshow/rides.html

The C-45 and Tiger Moth flights aren't listed yet, as they just confirmed this week that they will be offered.

For B-17, P-51, Mailwing, C-45, and Tiger Moth flights, call Frank Schaufler via his cell at 585-766-9474... he'll be more than happy to get you signed up! Tell him that Ryan sent you (and he might help WIX out!)

For T-6 flights, contact Warbird Adventures directly at: (800) 386-1593

In all cases, the prices are pretty good considering the going rate and each booking helps the 1941 HAG out too. Support the "Best Warbird Show on Turf" and take to the skies over Geneseo next week!

Leave it to me to ask about a ride in a mailwing on a warbird forum but... any idea what it might cost and how long it will last. I would love a -17 or -51 ride but its a little out of the budget.

It's $80 per person for a 15-minute ride. I am not sure how many people can ride at a time... I am guessing two plus the pilot... but call and ask Frank to be sure. He's a super nice guy and would be happy to tell you more. He coordinates all the planes for the show and the biplane rally.

A ride in a Mailwing is a rarity in itself... well worth it in my book considering PT-17 flights go for about $90 for 15 min these days.
