Nobody's added "Learning to Fly" by Pink Floyd yet?

I like it better today than when it was first on the radio.

I agree with doraninefan. "learning to fly" by Pink Floyd is great even down to reading the checklist in the middle of the song

BTW, I've always liked the official "Air Force Song"...."Off we go, into the wild blue yonder....."

There is a CD by the name of "Song Pilot" done by Dwayne O' Brein, that has some real good aviation theme songs. I believe Ed Shippley use's some of Dwayne's music as background for Heritage Flight performances.

I also like the song "Captian of the Clouds" from the film of the same name.

The Foo Fighters Learning to Fly would be a good one.

OMG!!!!

You guys didn't even come close to any of those songs that are the greatest song with flying.

"Flight of the Valkyries" helicopter attack sequence, perhaps the ... The most significant element of APOCALYPSE NOW movie!

[quote="dors"]Learning To Fly - Pink Floyd

I always thought the lyrics went "Turn Time Twisted just an earthbound misfit....", as in Turn, Time, Twist, Throttle, Talk. (For those with IFR ratings).

When I found out it was "Tongue, tied, twisted" I was dissapointed!
:)
