You missed 'Should have stayed in England because flying over water risks a pilot's life and is too dangerous.'

Oh, I forgot, that only applies to OUT of the USA, not IN.

Glad to see another warbird still flying. Don't care where.

I shook carls hand, climbed down from that great beast and wondered when the next time we would see such a beast on UK soil again.

Here are a few shots of her before we let it go......bugger!!!!!!!!!!!!

The closest that I ever got to flying an F7F was getting to taxi one.Bob Forbes let me taxi T62 at Porteville when he was the pilot of that airplane at TBM.Even that experience was Way Coool!

Bitter?

No, just calling hypocrisy. I'm thousands of miles from it either side of the Atlantic, it don't affect me. However, it is a rare, W.W.II twin-engined US warbird, yet there's not been a peep about it flying TO the USA from Europe, while we've had miles of discussion about Glacier Girl going the other way. That's all.

Tigercats? Way cool.

Cheers,

I knew I'd missed something. And it's got a shark shaped fuselage too. Goes just as well in water. ;)

Actually I knew nothing about it, or I would have said something. I still don't think that it is a good idea. I have my pilot's license, years of flight training, and a strong opinion. I know people and companies that have modern equipment that is multi, and don't like to fly over the great lakes let alone the ocean in a 60+ year old airplane. I don't feel like starting into this debate again, so I won't.

Sooo.. Yet again, we all get the benefit of your 'strong opinion' but you 'don't feel like starting into this debate again' so we all get to shut up. There was I thinking it was Scott's board, not yours.

I suggest you don't make comments like that if you don't want a debate. But since you seem to direct that at me and the other few that said that maybe we should think twice about this flight, fine I will bite.
