I noticed a Huey on a pole south of Daingerfield Tx about 8 miles on 259 hwy. Didn't see anything looking to be a VFW; but i might have missed it. Anyone know the story?

This would be north of Longview and south of I-30.

Ben,

It is privately owned; it sits atop the pole in a metal recycling busines, IIRC.

If you want them, I have a couple of photos of it.

Saludos,

Tulio

That one is on US 259, just north of the TX 155 intersection. South of Lone Star... Used to see a second Huey sitting off in a corner of the yard, but havn't noticed it lately.

While East Texas is on the radar - Anybody have any info on the jet-on-a-pole that used to be just north of Mount Pleasant on US 271 by the roadside park/lake? It's been gone many years and I was much younger, never had a camera then... Was that an F-89 with no pods?
