That makes two of us that hope there are some good shirts made with the new nose art on it.

Tim

Having been down in Midland for Saturday's activities, there are some very nice shirts and hats now for sale. If I heard correctly the hats sold out before the end of the day, and there was good action on the shirts as well. Having seen the new colors myself I love the new look! :D

The work that Gary has been able to do in the last six or seven months can not even begin to be described by the pictures we have seen here, make sure you visit the new girl if she is in your neck of the woods.

Again Gary she looks great! :D

The only problem I see with the artwork is that the artwork is not painted on the artwork...

Good job y'all! The art looks edgy, but period authentic.

BDk, if the art work was painted on the art work then the art work would have to be painted on the art work, etc, etc, etc,....

Makes my head hurt just thinkin' about the possibilities !

I was wondering why I liked the new nose art so much and then it dawned on me...I have a print of my uncle's WWII squadron patch art...a cartoon B-24!

It fits!

Great Job Chad and crew!

Kind of like the mirrors on opposing walls at the old barber shop!

Love the patch showing the "drunk" B-24 dropping bottles of booze instead of bombs...classic! 8)

Oh, by the way, the PX Officers (TA & Becky Covington) told me that if anyone wishes to purchase the new Ol' 927 items we have for sale, just contact them at tacovington@surry.net . Just be patient, as I know they're struggling to keep up with all of the orders right now.

Hello Gary.
Just wanted to say that was a really neat "acquisition" with the Bomb door operating handle!

Well, well...

I have to admit at being a huge fan of pinups for nose art. So when I read that Diamond Lil was leaving, I was a bit sad and was hoping for another pinup girl !

Then I saw the new nose art and was initially disapointed... a cartoon plane ??? :?

But now, the more I look at it, the more I like it ! This B24 is turning into the nicest bomber on the circuit ! Congrats to all involved. I can now only hope to see her in person sometime.

Any plans for her to attend Oshkosh this year ?

There is plenty of historical reference for cartoons. They weren't ALL girls...

Listed below is a tentative schedule for "Ol 927" this year and of course can change with little notice. As of now though, this is the plan.

July 6-8th - Scott AFB Airshow
July 23 - 29 - Oshkosh
Aug 10-12th - NY ANG Airshow - Niagara Falls
Aug 24th - 27th - Indianapolis - KMQJ
Sept 5-8 - Minot, ND - Dakota Air Museum
Sept 8 - Minot AFB - Airshow
Sept 9-10 - Minot - Dakota Air Museum
Sept 28 - 30 - CAF Airsho - Midland, Tx
Oct 5-8th - Wings over Houston - Ellington Airport

More shows are in the works. I believe we have one added in Ohio between Niagara and Indianapolis but we will know more later. Keep checking the below website as this will be updated shortly with our tour schedule.
