I completed my updates to the Florida Locator. You can find it here…
http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/Locator.php?Region=FL

I didn’t think the original thread would still be going by the time I got around to reviewing the state, but I do like the participation. I have revised the list below. In the mean time I am responding to a few points from the previous thread…

David J Burke wrote:
There are two C-123's at Titusville. One at the museum - the other in the GA area.

I assume the GA C-123 is not static. Who operates it?

David J Burke wrote:
Hastings - at Earle Airpark there is a Bell 47 and Piasecki HUP-2 Retriever

I found the airpark, but can’t see the helos. Are they intact? Helicopters are very difficult to see using satellite images.

Who operates the aircraft scrap/parts business at the airpark?

David J Burke wrote:
Sanford - There is a Ventura there under restoration and on the field a derelict UH-1H and a Sikorski UH-19 which looks like a failed conversion to Mil-24 drone configuration.

Good stuff. If you can give me details that would be great. Which hangar is the Ventura in? Where exactly are the UH-1 and H-19. Again helos are very difficult to find. Thanks for all the good info David.

Mike

Mike - The Ventura at Sanford is in the former fire station building which
is on the opposite side of the pan from the terminal. The UH-1H is a fuselage minus tailboom which is located with a load of military surplus about 100 yards from the Ventura restoration project. The UH-19 'Mil-24'
conversion is a similar distance from the Ventura.

The F-4 is long term project sponsored by the local AFA chapter. Nothing concrete yet.

Canberra in Melbourne FL.?
Mike, I kept seeing this discussed in some posts.
I was in the area today so I went searching.

Found it outside the FIT hanger and got permission
along with an escort to go get a couple photos.
The folks there were very helpful and pleasant.

Mike, the other C-123 at Tico is "Cat House," far from operational. It's been up for sale as of late, appeared on eBay not so long ago. Here's a very bad pic I took today next to our C-123, looking across the field at Cat House.

Sorry to keep asking you for help with this one, but is that the north side or the east side? I can’t see what appears to be a “load of military surplus”. Never having been there, I don’t know where the former fire station is. The GE image shows what appears to be a DC-9 or 727 minus the engines on the east side in a location where you would not expect such a large airframe.

Let me know if the problem persists. I did do an update earlier than usual last night, so that might have something to do with it.

That qualified for an entry! Yellowpages.com don't have an address for them. Where is this bar?

As for M*A*S*H the TV show... productions companies don't make them like they used to. MASH is still the best. Remember the time they filled Ferret Face's fox hole with water and yelled out "Air Raid!"? I stick chuckle about that scene.
