This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Ok, this should really be under the events page, but it starts tomorrow and no one has posted on it yet.
Who is going and when will you be there?
I plan on attending Friday if we dont get too busy at work.

The Indiana Aviation Museum's T-34 Mentir is going to be there.

As of 2:00 pm 4 or 5 T-28's a couple of T-6'shad showed as well as the standard early L-bird arrivals. The arrival traffic was fairly heavy until the airport was shut down due to a fatal crash just short of rwy 27. I can't believe the accidents have started this early. I think its going to be a good turn out this year.

The winds were gusting over 30 today so I am not suprised. It will be gusty again tomorrow but only up to 25. Better for the rest of the week.

Chuck,
I hope to be there Wednesday afternoon/evening.
Was going to be there early in the week in the Mohawk, but plans changed.
Doug went to Corpus in the Mohawk, and I rode with Ronnie in the P-51. I then came back from Corpus to Addison on the C-47, Ronnie came back in the P-40 and Stu Dawson brought the Mohawk back. Mike took the Mustang direct to SnF and Doug went to Florida Sunday morning via the airlines.
I am now flying down to SnF from Addison in C-47 on Wednesday morning.
(PT-19 left this morning, and the P-51 should also be there tomorrow or Wednesday. Both of the T-28's are already in Florida, but not sure if both are going to SnF, but I think Doug is flying one back to Addison after the event).
Confused?
Hope to see you Friday - weather permitting.
Julian

That's a beautiful shot Glenn. My imagination just added the sounds, smells, warm FL sun, and prop blast.

Those airplanes are nice, but that has got to be one of the nicest grass fields I have ever seen. It looks like a sports field! Can I land there and visit, Glen? I may go to Sun 'N Fun next year.

Hello John,
You sure can!
It's privately owned, 300' wide and 6300' long. The owner does not encourage transient aircraft so he asks that you pay a $10.00 landing fee to cover runway maintenance and airport expenses.

I know a couple of guys who will be there in a few days to pick up a plane from Indiantown after Sun'N'Fun. Looks like they'll have an excellent place to start from.

That grass strip looks really nice! $10 bucks sounds fair for a landing fee.
