Tillamook Air Museum unloads aircraft

I just found out the Tillamook Air Museum no longer has the following aircraft: the Mig 17, the P-47, the Spitfire and the B-25. Anyone know where they went?

They are going to Texas...at least from what I "heard" and its not Mr. Lewis.

Theres a picture in my webshots account that tells all in the 2007 album...but y'all will never figure it out ;P, warbirds...its a goofy business.

until the purchaser of the aircraft decides to go public, I think it is the best interest to respect his privacy at this point until it is a "done deal". A public forum is not always the best place to talk about things before they happen and can actually cause problems sometimes.
What is happening is really fantastic news and liberates these aircraft from a static museum to return to the skies again. Just give this some time.

You said it brother! I bet. I'm only 19 and yet im still trying to understand the "World of Warbirds" even though i've known about it since i was able to walk! (blame that on my dad)
But i do hope i can become wrangled in this warbird existance, and become an owner of a warbird. One day.

Be careful what you wish for friend. These things have a tendancy to happen so be ready when the opportunity presents itself. It has happened to a number of us.

Ha-ha, well lets just hope that my pockets are deep enough, so I won't be living in a box!
Though I believe every warbird enthusiast has there "collection" of aircraft that they would like to own.

B-24J -markings ("Queen of Hearts" 320th, 90th bmb grp, 44-40185)
F-4U-1A Corsair- markings (unknown) original Stratford built Corsair.
Val -replica -markings(Pearl Harbor) (I've always liked this aircraft!)
Hurricane- markings (Battle of Britain squadron)
B-25J -markings (38th bmb grp, "Wolf Pack")
Better start saving my pennies!
