Thanks Jim,
Interesting that best glide is close to VNE in the L-5.

Mr. Beasley, any chance of doing the two ship act at Oshkosh again? That was a fantastic show you and your partner put on in 2004.

Hi Jim,

Your Mustang looks the best out of the two there.

I'll go so far as to say that's my favorite Mustang scheme on any of the currently airworthy P-51's, period. I tried to find a way to make it look good on our RV-4, but it's just a Mustang thing I guess. Nothing beats blue, yellow, and chrome. 8)

Every once in a while I get the urge to make it flat green, with eggshell blue stripes, etc. but like the Yankees maybe it's best not to change the uniform. Also when we chose this scheme (1979!) everyone was absolutely positively without question certain that the 361st FG planes were blue rather than green. Well everyone was wrong. But there's a lot of history with her. I love the scheme and the way Dan Caldarale was able to mask the bare metal around the stars and letters is cool too. Thanks for all the nice comments about her. Jim

Jim,

Are you planning on attending the Colonial Flying Corps show at the New Garden Airport this year? I'm looking forward to as many photo ops as possible for Princess Elizabeth and Bald Eagle at the Philly area shows this year.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi Jim,

I see in several vidoes that right after take off you usually do a roll. Is that your trademark?

Hi Jeff -- The New Garden show is always fun. I'm still in the paperwork purgatory with Princess so when I get her back is a big ?. If she's back before and the wx is good, I'm going to try to be there. We'll see as we get closer. Jim

Nathan -- lots do rolls on takeoff. Fun to do as long as you don't get in trouble ....

The Oshkosh Horseman flight will be remembered as one of the best formation demonstrations of all time.

I inted to be both at OSH and G of M so I hope to see the Horsemen at both locations.

Any chance the Spit aerobatic demo that was flown by ? at OSH Airventure 2004? will be on Airshow Buzz

Kenair, the acro show in 04 was by Elliot Cross in Rayborne Thompson's MkIX. He had to do it in the ICAS part of the show, as they won't even let us do a roll in the warbirds part of the show.

Thank-you for the info, the Spitfire demo flight by Elliot Cross was magnificent, the stall turn awesome, 04 was a good year to be at OSH.
thanks - ken

A couple more from the Beasley racing efforts long ago -- before Bald Eagle was polished out.

Pretty sure that demo was done in 2005 when the Spitfire made its second appearance at Oshkosh. The stall turn certainly got my attention!
