An Eagle Scout Story...

My friend David Quaid, a retired Director of Photography, was a combat cameraman in WWII. He went AWOL to join up with Merrill's Marauders (another story in itself) as they would only accept volunteers with combat experience, which he didn't have. If you have seen any footage of Merrill's Maruaders in combat, you have seen David's pictures.

He is now the historian for the unit and has shot many interviews and produced several video pieces for them. When I was writing up some PR to help David raise money, etc., the only thing that David added to them was that he credited what he learned becoming an Eagle Scout with his survival during combat in the jungles of Burma.
