As I grew up hanging out at Ried's durning the 50's and 60's, I was aware of this aircraft. It would come up in discussions quite often. What I didn't know is that it wa s still there! And that it could possibly been had just for back rent! Wonder how much that was??? Maybe the auction would be cheaper.

IIRC, the national insiginaia is still visible under the "new" paint.

Man, it even has 300 MPH airspeed indicators! :shock:
