IIRC, it starts at 8 pm/7 pm Central.

I've already served notice to "the family" that dad will be unavailable for love, tenderness, emotional support, homework help, fire suppression in the kitchen, intruder shooting (well, that's fun, too!), granny and granddad chatting, ice on bumps laying on of hands, emergency room transportation, baby bottle-washing, picking up socks, taking out garbage, tucking in, checking closets and under beds for monsters, wiping butts, helping to change clothes, reading bedtime stories . . .

Tonight is DAD'S night! 8)

Oscars? Heck, if I had actually SEEN any of the nominated flicks, I might watch! Was the new James Bond epic nominated for anything?

The show is starting to bore me :?
The great dogfight of the Bismark vs the Hood
It sorta seems like the same stuff with little changes
over and over again.
How about some P-38s, Spits or P-47s.
A good idea for a episode would be Capt Jessie Folmar
and wingman in F4Us vs the MIG-15.
But the show needs some help.

We have somewhat of'a conflict in this household. Both Mrs. Mudge and I love to watch "Dogfights" but they're repeats and they're on opposite NHRA which we also like to watch.
Looks like it'll be NHRA tonite.
I KNOW...I KNOW...that's blasphemy. We'll just have to live with them shame of being pariahs.

I'm guessing that it's because many peoples' "idea" of air combat is often more exciting than the actual thing.

F-15Es doing their 'thing' in Iraq would be much more interesting.
I prefered the movie 'Sink the Bismark!' myself 8)

Like everything else in aviation, hours of boredom punctuated by moments of terror...

I'd like to see the producers widen the episodes content to include aerial battles with bombers such as the "Black Sunday" Ploesti raid and the early Schweinfurt raids. I'd also like to see them expand to include some axis pilots/dogfights to include Rudel and the all-time scoring ace Eric Hartmann. I know guys...they're the enemy  but some of the stories of aerial combat on the Eastern front are quite amazing!

I would like to see a segment featuring Archie Donahue, with 14 Kills and twice "Ace in a day" . Plus there would be CORSAIRS!!! :D

Every time I think, "MORE...MORE...MORE", I also remember lotsa' $$$$ and
lotsa' time involved in the graphics.
Patience, my children. PATIENCE!

I watched part of the marathon yesterday. They had an episode dedicated to "Old 666"......the B-17E that Jay Zeamer and Joe Sornaski flew in the pacific and the mission in which they both earned the MOH. Well done.
