Reason hitler had to invade russia so late in the year was because he was busy tryin to invade britain in the summer every day he spent fighting us brought the russian winter one day nearer ! 
and when you yanks finally showed up
you used britain as the worlds largest aircraft carrier to smash the germans
for me hitler made many mistakes
1. dunkirk he left it to the air force to destroy our army they failed we saved over 250,000 men! guns and tanks could be replaced but not those men
2. malta the key to the empire if germany had took it we woiuld have been cut off from our forces in africa and the middle east is it any wonder the king gave the island the George cross after the war!
3. battle of britain the germans were winning our pliots were knackered but then the germans switched from bombing the airfields to bombing london ,it gave the airfields a chance to recover as london could take it!

5.declaring war on america ,japan did the dirty on america and america delclared war on japan (not germany) hitler did that!
