I flew on that DC3 a few years ago in El Cajon, CA. What a blast that was. We flew at 1500' AGL the whole time and the pilot invited the passengers to come up to the flightdeck during the flight.

Probably can't even go for a ride in it any anymore unless they install a $250K bulletproof cockpit door.

I love the TCM channel and the DC-3 is very nice also.

Maybe this is the start of another corporation owned air museum like the Red Bull museum in Austria? If so, countless aircraft could be saved and be really pampered.

Thanks Jake, We really appreciate your political opinion, regardless of how trivial.

PS Did anyone see "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence" with Duke and Jimmy Stewart last night on TCM?

Id doesn't appear that the registration has changed and it still has the name "Rose" on the front, so I suspect it is only a sponsorship of some sort. Should help the owners to keep her flying!

I'm glad to see that "ole" Ted has saved the DC-3. It's a great looking airplane. I'm just surprised. Sometimes the truth strikes a nerve. JF :D :D :D
