Fire Eaters A-26

Wed Feb 14, 2007 10:18 pm

I know you guys might laugh, but I really loved the noseart carried on the A-26 from the movie Always. I was wondering what ever became of that airplane. Does anyone have any pics of the nose art, and any idea where I can get anything such as model decals, merchandise with that emblem. Thank you in advance guys.

The link says it was one of three A-26's that played Tanker "58" in the film, but where is the half glass nose from the film version?
The lower half was the standard A-26 bombadiers glass section and the one in the link at Air Spray has a different top and bottom half. Was it removed after filming?

Check out this link to an older WIX ppost.
Tanker "59" from "Always" still retains the glass section on the nose.

Here's another link to a few photos I took of the plane (and it's apron-mate) last April.

I remember seeing pictures, in one of those AV mags, of a Invader cockpit section done up in the "Always" "Fire Eaters" scheme sitting in a movie studio back lot or someplace like that.

Whatever became of that cockpit anyone know?
