She was giving rides this week and left today. After I looked over the shots I noticed the placement of the star and bar under the wing (too small and too far aft?).

I'll take the sound of 4 radials any day. :supz:

It sure didn't take long for the "inaccurate paint scheme patrol, and tramp stamp haters" to sound off on this one. At least some comment could have been made about how magnificent the plane is, or how much you appreciate the time and effort needed to maintain and fly such a plane, but alas, it was not to be.
So, as I have said before, why don't you all whip out the old credit cards or checkbooks and offer to pay for a repaint of the plane so that it meets your approval, and while your at it add several more zeroes to cover the cost of any funding they get because of the "tramp stamp". I am sure that the EAA would gladly take a free paint job that probably costs more than my house did. Let us know what scheme you guys decide on so as to give adequate notice to all those other nitpickers so they can get a head start on studying the new scheme so they can complain about it ASAP!

Well....hold on there a minute Xray............

Don’t label me as a hater just because I pointed out a goof in the national insignia. I appreciate all the hard work that any NFP goes through to preserve and fly these beauties. But in terms of there being readily available specs for the insignia.........

Is the insignia painted on - or a 'decal'?

Great looking plane. Still have the sticker from when I toured it 10 years ago. They could throw a foreign car decal down the whole length of the plane and I wouldn't love it any less. As long and she still fly's I don't care!! :drink3:
