I have seen the Percival several times at Oshkosh. I was shocked the first time I saw it. One look and I realized why Percival no longer is in business and why no one wanted their aircraft.
Hold the phone !
The first company formed by Edgar Percival was Percival Aircraft. Far from 'no one wanting' their aircraft a series of successful and efficient designs were produced including the famous Gull racers. Proctor, Prentice and Provost trainers for the RAF followed several hundred of each being produced (well OK the Prentice was a dog) as well as the Prince twin-engined transport.
When the original Percival became part of Hunting (as in Jet Provost), EP formed a
second company Edgar Percival Aircraft and the EP9 was the only model they produced. Lancashire Aircraft took over production and a total of 21 were made.
