Friends I this post by Alan's wife Jen on their webpage and was inspired to take action which is a rare occurance for your's truly.
He had an unusual therapy workout today...Nintendo Wii. His therapist Danielle, whom Alan told the doctors today, is ruthless, took an ace bandage and tied the Wii controller to Alan's left arm and made him play tennis. At first he thought she was crazy. It made him try to pull up on his arm and move it across his chest as much as he can right now. It wore him out but he was smiling while doing therapy! We might have to find one of these systems when we got home! I wonder if we could convince Blue Cross that it is a needed therapy item!
I propose that the wixers put up the $$$ and buy Alan a Wii and a few accessories and have it ready for him when he's able to come home. We spend so much time fighting over data plates and paint jobs that I think we can spare a few minutes and help someone who's a true friend to the warbird/aviation community.
