That is a great shot.

2nd dumb question. What are the small red lights at each wing root?

Anticollision beacons. There is one in each wing root and one at the tip of the right vertical stab.

jet1: I think that's not the right place to debate about Irak war...

I'don't understand why the current different point of view and opinion affect the past and the history between the USA and the Europe ?

For you, two "friends" must always have the same opinion ?

Regards.

WOW! that looks like great fun! Are you in those shots?

Yup, I'm actually riding up front in that very first closeup. You can see I've got a flag on the glareshield that was intended to be flown over the cemetery in Belgium.

Very Cool! A great picture of Randy at "work"!

I see you have a new speed brake too

It would be great fun to go to Wales and see those passes.

Thanks Randy.

I think I might be touching an open nerve here. How long would you like us, Europeans, to show our gratitude and bow our heads for every American we meet? We remember and don't forget, be assured. But you were not the only ones who made sacrifices and there were political and economic reasons too for keeping western Europe from Nazi and Communist indoctrinations. It was not just altruïsm. We all have grown up now, we know how and with the help of which forces we were kept free. Don't keep going on to repeat that the US was so generous to liberate Europe. You played a big role, but you were and are a big, big country with big, big resources and were NOT occupied at the time. Other countries (like Canada) also provided forces. We, Europeans, did the best we could at the time.

The argument of 'we, the US, solely liberated Europe' becomes a bit tiring. You did a tremendous job, but others did also. From much more restricted sources.

Tillerman

You never have to bow your head to me  ... I can live with Tillerman's statements just fine. I completely agree with him, and this is coming from someone who lost an uncle in Europe in January 1945. (KIA, buried in Arlington National Cemetary) Anyone who has traveled in Western Europe would know that it seems around every corner there is a memorial to the fallen soldiers and civilians of WW2. Many churches I have had the fortune to enter seem to have stained glass murals of fallen Americans and Allies alike. .... Europeans have NOT forgotten and WILL never forget what we (the US) and all the other countries sacrificed during WW2. I'll bet money on that one any day of the week. If you want to complain about who should show some gratitude towards Americans, it's Americans. Ask Paris Hilton and her friends who and where we're fighting today. She'll probably answer France or Italy. UGH!!!

But why again are we talking about this nonsense here in Randy's thread? Oh yah! I forgot, the needs of the foolish outweigh the needs of the smart ....

Sorry Randy, and wonderful flying photos .... you're the man!!!!
