This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

That's all I've got, too...a big wood & metal model.

Is that a TBM/TBF canopy frame? If so, it's lookin good. Love the TBMs.

Not TBM. TBY...long (long, long)-term static reconstruction. Whoever has that Sea Wolf center section is still holding out on me.

Vultee BT-13A Project AAC S/N 41-10726. I started gathering parts for this project in 1994. On hold while I work on the VCS-35 fighter replica.
Here is the history card on my BT. Merced Army Air Corps Field was located in Central California and later became Castle Air Force Base. The base was closed in the 1990's, but a very nice outdoor museum remains.
Picture of BT-13 41-10728 at Merced Army Air Corps Field, two serial numbers off of my BT-13.

Could this maybe be made a sticky so it doesn't get lost? Very interesting.

VCS1,
Isn't that always the way? There always seems to be a photo of the airplanes just on either side of the one you are involved with!

If you get sick of that '13 sitting around I might be able to find a home for it.
Here is our 1964 M20E, taken at a nice little fly-in and hangar dance at the former Kearney Army Air Field, Nebraska in 2005. The one who pays the bills is sitting in the shade under the horizontal.

Nice Mooney!
When I was a young lad my dad rented a mirror imaged 64 Mooney from
the local airport. Has I recall (I was 5 or 6) it was fast and the gear went up and down like lightning.

That gear is just as fast as your Dad's arm could throw that Johnson bar!
