Gents if I can do it at 59, you guys have it made. Stick & rudder is the only way.
Thanks "Uncle Jack". Wasn't sure I could even swing the bat.
Today is a good day!

Rick, I got told the exact same thing on the day I got my license, CTO, and tower check out. I have always found that as true.

Congrats! A Citabria is a wonderful airplane to start in!

Now you need an L-5!!
Sun Feb 14, 2010 2:57 pm
Can I have yours?????

Any around that you know of?
Sun Feb 14, 2010 6:43 pm
There are a few L-5s on Barnstormers, but you need to talk to Jim Gray at
www.sentinelclub.org and some other L-5 owners if you want to make an informed decision. As noted in the other thread (
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=34753) there are some gotchas that you want to watch out for.

Congratulations my friend!
Way to stick to it and get the job done. When the weather gets nice, you'll have to plan a cross country up north. Wait until the ice starts to melt off our crosswind runway and ramp a bit. Braking action is still pretty darn poor, (not that it's a huge factor for a Citabria). What's your next step, getting checked out in the Cornell? You're walking in your Dad's footsteps Scott.

Way to go my friend. Now for the next chapter in your flight training. Carl's (Stormin) got a Dash 1 for you to take home and study for your complex/high performance/nosewheel checkout...in a warbird no less. More to come.
