The Lockheed is a French Naval aircraft. It is highly possible that the photo is indeed in French Indochina, Vietnam. There were several trips done by the Ventura's of the navy post war to the area. Check out the following website (use the web translator to convert to english) for more information!

By the looks of all the dress uniforms standing around the Lockheed. Looks like it might have been carrying someone of some significance.

Had a 'deja vu' experience two nights ago...

...after seeing the 'terminal' the French Lockheed was parked in front of on here, I was parked in Hanoi right in front of and facing into, a similar building with a slightly higher 'tower' that now seems to be used for some sort of administrative function...
