FW-190 1:1 replica

Sun Sep 03, 2006 11:53 am

I just got this from a friend in Germany--one of his buddies built it. This plane was built from scratch, he only had a plan - nothing else.
-All structure is wood, resin and some original parts (gear, rudder,
-cabin-hood, some instruments).
-Weight of the plane is approximately 3.500 kgs (7700 pounds)
-Powered by P&W R1830 (1200 hp)

What's the story on that T-6 in the b.g. with the 3-bladed prop, early (SNJ-2?) rudder and NACA markings?

Looks like Dennis Buehn's old T-6 with the geared 1340 on it.

Sure would like to see this guy at Duxford next year.

The T-6 is N662DB, a modified Harvard IV. Has clipped wings, geared engine with 12:1 blower,a 3 blade prop and a retractable tailwheel.
