Warbird Information Exchange

I've found that learning to edit a video can be a VERY slow process. But here's what I came up with.

This was shot at St. Thomas last June. I was not allowed to do aerobatics -- the aircraft was new out of the restoration shop and there hadn't been time for my accreditation -- so I had to come up with a non-aero display that still showcased the aeroplane.

It is huge fun to do this in a Spitfire. I am spoiled forever.

The Spitfire, although I have a tendency to love whatever I'm flying. It does everything well, with a quality of elegant eagerness. It's a precise aircraft, with no bad manners. It's like the perfect Thoroughbred horse, or a Herreshof sailboat, or a Chestnut Prospector in glassy water.

I also enjoyed the Waco Taperwing a lot.

Michel, earlier this year Dave clued us that the Spitfire cockpit fresh air vent blows cross the cockpit...hence his custom PVC elbow directulator mod aiming it where it's most appreciated.
