I'm afraid that i insist that this a/c be painted in its original markings!!!

Jack, I really hate to nitpick this, but that tail number doesn't look like 412118; I downloaded and enlarged the image and if you look very closely, it looks more like 412018. The left side of the 0 is almost at the rudder hinge line, but it's distinctly there. If you scan the tail number at a higher resolution you should see the stencil break at the top of the 0.

By all means! Do her back as original, I'm about full of Blue Nosed Mustangs-now is the opportunity for someone to do an accurate and spectacular set of markings!!!!!!!!

It's sooooo close and a beautiful scheme. What a breath of fresh air it would be to have a restored P-51 flying a attractive Pacific scheme. I don't beleive a single P-51 has a PTO scheme except maybe one in Aust. (Shomo's?). If not well another one with jelly beans on it would be OK
