I will be at Oshkosh this year, as I am every year. Do a bunch of you guys go?

I'll be there again this year with the family. We typically only stay 1 day due to the crowds, lack of open hotel rooms, and the constant nagging of my wife saying..."can we leave?....I'm bored to death and my feet hurt from walking".

You could get the fam a room at one of those WI Dells water park resorts for the week, then you can hoof around Oshkosh for the week and drink beer with the boys.

Actually the lodging isn't the biggest issue with us...my brother lives in town and has offered to let us all sack-out on his living room floor, but I've politely declined. His house is pretty small and anything more than a couple days would drive the wife and I over the edge. I would love to just go with me and my 12 & 14 year old boys but she would complain about being left behind for an entire week. In her defense, she does enjoy the aircraft and the warbirds but usually has enough after one day. For me...one day at Oshkosh is just getting started! She makes more $$$ than I do so I tend to keep my yap shut.
(I know...I'm whipped :Hangman:

Maybe you should send her to Kidventure with the kids. That would buy you at least one more day. There are also some forums with womens events and women speakers that she could go to. And the fly market. You don't actually have to stand on the ramp for the whole week after all. In fact I used to skip the airshow part and do all my shopping then.

Yeah...I think we would've done more stuff last year but the heat was soooo unbearable it prevented us from doing more than we wanted. Let's hope this next year's weather will be a bit more enjoyable.

Hot is one thing, but when you have upper 90's temps for days on end there's a problem. I was starting to have flash-backs of my Army days stationed in Fort Hood, TX. No offense to you southern boys, but this northern boy can't take that kind of heat for too long! :crispy:
