I've taken this list and found those movies that were available on Amazon and created a list at http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/wrg-videos.html

If you were going to buy them anyways do it through these links and help support the site. :D

My votes go to:

Twelve O'Clock High
The Wings of Eagles
Dive Bomber
Task Force
Jet Pilot
Command Decision

One day I want to see 'Tokyo Joe' but it has been hard to find. It is the only film I have heard of with Lodestars.

Bridges at Toko Ri

This is my new best warbird movie ever. Besides the kicka$$ panther action, the story, I think, is one of the first that ends the way it does, at least in American movies. It is like a non-war protest, war protest movie. I don't really think it's a war protest movie, it's just sad...........

And then there is Mad Mad Mad Mad World............YEEEAAAAAHHHH

One of the best flying scenes EVAH!

Bridges at Toko Ri, for actual fllying, famous actors William Holden, plus Grace Kelly, even if it is mostly jets; and The Great Waldo Pepper, again with reaL flying of actual planes and top actors( Redford for her!). It is not war action, but aces flying WWI planes in conflict. The actor who played the German is so convincing that I actually thought he was a genuine retired ace.The original B o Britain is pretty good. Some of our Caf guys, Lefty Gardner, Connie Edwards fle in it. My plane was one of the two Spit 2 seaters used for arial flilming. Unfortunately no Grace Kelly.

Cloud Dancer has some pretty cool footage of Jimmy Leeward shooting down David Caradine (Arrow) with is Mustang. THere is also some dramatic Pitts acro footage as well. The plot is weak but its fun entertainment. Waldo Pepper, classic, Hanover Street...Mitchells? What Mitchells? Leslie Ann Downes beautiful eyes...oh wait thats for another board...gotta go

Suprised that only a few mentioned The War Lover...the scenes of the B-17G buzzing the doggiegoo out of that field are simply amazung.

Dark Blue World indeed...great film.

Anyone ever seen Howard Hughes' H3ll's Angels available anywhere?

(come on, there is a big ol' C47 at the end in one of the most romantic a/c shots of the "propaganda" films of the period)
