Most of y'all have probably seen this, but I was able to snap a picture of it when I was driving down to get that PBY loaded up for it's relocation.

The A-4 was at a baseball park and was seen when driving South on Hwy 77. I was just wondering if any of y'all might know anything about it. Rick H. where are you?

And I know it's not much help, but the bottom picture is the closest street sign there was to the airplane to indicate where it was (and I simply don't remember).

I'll be driving back down there next week to retrieve the PBY wings, maybe I'll be able to do a better job of picture takin' then...

I have not physically seen it but, the tail code "B" is for NAS Kingsville, TX. And according to Google Earth, and my knowledge of the area (I lived there for ~10 years), it's in Kleberg County Park in Kingsville, TX.

I used to live just on the north side of the park many moons ago... Man how time flies!!!

On a related note. Inside this park, and other parks in Kingsville, there were other jets. I don't remember what they were. I know they weren't A-4's, and I don't think they were T-2's... They might have been T-33's or Navy TV-1's. I used to play on them as a kid, but for the life of me I can't definitively remember what they were.

I moved from Kingsville in the summer of 1988, and I believe that was when they were removed (fate unknown) I remember watching them be disassembled.

These were their approximate locations:

Kleberg County Park: 27°28'10.48"N 97°51'42.39"W
Park between Kenedy and E Loft: 27°30'51.79"N 97°50'52.22"W

Anybody???

It's an A-4C. BuNo 145113. It's on loan to Dick Kleberg Park, Kingsvile, TX. Kingsville, TX has a long history with the Navy because of Kingsville NAS. Here's another look at the aircraft in an earlier paint job.
