I'm looking at Stead Field with Google Earth and seeing a bare ramp.
Is this like the movie Capricorn One?

The field must have been empty the day the sat. pass was made. I wish google earth would tag the images with the date they were taken.

The images used for Google Maps as well as Google Earth are sometimes several years old. Some I have found of the Charleston, SC, area were taken in 2003 and 2004.

Yeah...Google will tell you (somewhere on their website) that the images can be up to 3 years old,

There is a way to tell when the photo layers were taken.

Open Google Earth.

Down the left hand side you find the box that says layers.

Expand that and scroll down to find Digital Globe Coverage.

Check that box and the layers will show up with red date codes on the map.

The current Reno Stead shot says March 19, 2003

I think it's some sort of "bleeping" conspiracy.
There isn't really anything going on there.
Or else they hide in the hangers before the satellite
makes it's pass.
Capricorn One man!
