Please help us to raise the funds needed to celebrate the life of Pat Patteson, WWII Naval Aviator who flew 24 missions against the Japanese during his three tours in the Aleutians.

Pat flew the PV-1 Ventura and the PV-2 Harpoon during his time in the service. Pat also flew our museum’s 1945 PV-2D Harpoon to many air shows over the recent years. He did a masterful job of it too at 102 years old, just like he did in WWII. Pats last landing here was a real greaser coming back to Stockton Airfield from the air show at Mather in Sacramento. Go Pat!

Pat passed away a little while ago and we are having a get together at the Stockton Field Aviation Museum this Saturday, December 21st at 1100 hours, to celebrate his life. You are welcome to come by and share your memories of Pat or just pay your respects. After the celebration we are hoping to fly the museum’s PV-2D Harpoon as a tribute to Pat.

We are asking for help to come up with the funding needed fly the Harpoon as she is a thirsty girl. The two-2000 horsepower Pratt and Whitney engines burn 600 gallons an hour on takeoff and 165 GPH in cruise. The oil consumption is another thing too. We hope to raise $3000 to cover these expenses. The Go Fund Me link is at the bottom.

You are of course welcome to join us this Saturday December 21st at 1100 hours at the Stockton Field Aviation Museum to help celebrate Pats life and watch the Harpoon fly with his son Lea.

Please spread the word and thank you, in advance, for any help you can provide.

Sadly I have not been able to make posts with photos for quite some time. Even more Sad is the fact that the photos in the old posts do not appear anymore. The photos are still hosted at the same place, nothing has changed. The links are still good too. I have asked Scott about it but I think he is pretty busy.

On the other hand, I am excited to announce the beginning of the next chapter for 062 which will be in the capable hands of Kermit Weeks.

We are proud that we were able to take 062 from nearly being scrapped and to bring her back to her near factory condition. Frankly, we got her as far as we were able, and even if Kermit does half of what he intends to do, we will be ecstatic. So will 062. Just the fact that she will live indoors is so much more than we were able to do.

I want to thank you all for your support of 062 throughout the years. From financial help to all of your positive comments we really appreciate it!

I hope you will continue to be supportive of 062 as she continues her next adventure with Kermit.

Thanks again!
