Mr. Bull seems to have the market on P-51's like the gentlemen in the 80's who had a coral of Mustangs as well.

Yeah, Connie Edwards had six Mustangs for a time in the 80s, all ex-Guatemalan Air Force. At this time, Dan Friedkin owns 8 Mustangs (A-36A, P-51B, P-51C, 3 x P-51D, P-51K, TF-51D) and Bob Bull owns 6 Mustangs (P-51B, 4x P-51D, TF-51D). Louis Horschel I believe owns 4 Mustangs (P-51B, P-51D, TF-51D, and a P-51D reported to be under restoration as a TF-51D). I can't think of any other collector who has 4 or more.

Thank you for those, I want to say he was a Doctor as I have the Trade A Plane ad some where. Maybe early 90's...

Mr. John - if we're looking at it from a under one roof view then we have to mention the Planes of Fame Museum... Besides Miss Virginia, Spam Can/Dolly, Wee Willy II, and Voodoo they have a lot of visiting Mustangs under their roof...

I think you will find that Connie Edwards had more than 6 Mustangs in the 1980s. Apart from the Guatemalan stock he also had several ex- Salvadorean 51s as well. N30FF, N31FF, N33FF, N34FF and N35FF were all a part of The Edwards stable at one time. Some regd. to Howard Development which was a company owned by him and his brother "Buddo". 30FF and 34FF had been sold in the 70s, but both 33FF and 35FF remained well into the 80s. One then went to Robert Nottke and the other to Bill Rheinschild. N31FF was present when I visited the ranch in 1991, going through several owners and now spends time on the west coast of Norway. Add to this N119H which was an Edwards Mustang in the 1980s. And also ex- Nicaraguan N150U "Lady Colonel" which his brother's widow Patsy might also have been a part of. This was an Edwards plane since the late 60s. So, more Mustangs have called the Lazy E Ranch home than one might think.

Adding to the list Bob Jepson had four P-51s back in the day if I'm not mistaken.

During this time Mr. Byrne also had 2 P-40K's... The 1st was "Burma Rascal" that went on to be converted to a TP-40 for the Collings Foundation and the 2nd one has been under restoration for a few years with Butch Shroeder...

I agree as I flew over his ranch years ago and it looked like a fighter base as they had several parked outside.

At least Mustangs are better than '70s-80s Jaguars, where you had to have one for each day of the week to ensure you had one that would work.

Okay that's a slight exaggeration...you only really needed three.

That is the P-51B 'Old Crow' that Jack Roush used to own, but it is now owned by Bob Bull in Florida. He also owns the Mustangs 'Gentleman Jim', 'The Rebel', 'Tiger's Revenge', 'Geraldine' (currently getting new paint), and a blue-nosed TF-51D (ex-E Pluribus Unum). Being based at Jumbolair, it was a relatively short flight to SNF, but a lot of maintenance over the past few months to get them all ready (including their Corsair and B-25 as well).

Not sure if 'Six Shooter' has changed hands but it also looks to be hangared with this collection.
