The airplane with that Serial Number is a Art Medmore/Banaire airplane that were built from either parts or from Harvards and given new identities. (Thus the -2 after the serial number). The FAA was way more lenient on that stuff 30 years ago.
Ahh! got it! ... no surprise.
Thx Tim for another outstanding restoration and paint scheme. Very cool to see a warbird owners collection have interesting, unique and historically accurate schemes on aircraft that served in heavy fighting theaters, yet don't get as much attention as the usual schemes we tend to see. Your P-40 is priceless!!, as are your two DC-3/C-47's.
Your collection has become one of the finest and most unique and it's great what you and your support folks have been doing. Keeps the interest in old warplanes, and what they represent, alive for a great deal of people who care about these airplanes and their history. Can't let this history fade away, and you're at the forefront of making sure that doesn't happen.
Thx as always Tim
