Please help us to raise the funds needed to celebrate the life of Pat Patteson, WWII Naval Aviator who flew 24 missions against the Japanese during his three tours in the Aleutians.
Pat flew the PV-1 Ventura and the PV-2 Harpoon during his time in the service. Pat also flew our museum’s 1945 PV-2D Harpoon to many air shows over the recent years. He did a masterful job of it too at 102 years old, just like he did in WWII. Pats last landing here was a real greaser coming back to Stockton Airfield from the air show at Mather in Sacramento. Go Pat!
Pat passed away a little while ago and we are having a get together at the Stockton Field Aviation Museum this Saturday, December 21st at 1100 hours, to celebrate his life. You are welcome to come by and share your memories of Pat or just pay your respects. After the celebration we are hoping to fly the museum’s PV-2D Harpoon as a tribute to Pat.
We are asking for help to come up with the funding needed fly the Harpoon as she is a thirsty girl. The two-2000 horsepower Pratt and Whitney engines burn 600 gallons an hour on takeoff and 165 GPH in cruise. The oil consumption is another thing too. We hope to raise $3000 to cover these expenses. The Go Fund Me link is at the bottom.
You are of course welcome to join us this Saturday December 21st at 1100 hours at the Stockton Field Aviation Museum to help celebrate Pats life and watch the Harpoon fly with his son Lea.
Please spread the word and thank you, in advance, for any help you can provide.
