The Palm Springs Air Museum's Ronald M. Auen Learning Center was mentioned in a previous post, but that's not the only past or future expansion to the museum. The 20,000-square-foot Major General Kenneth P. Miles Hangar was completed in 2017:

The Aviation Heritage Center of Wisconsin was mentioned in a previous post, but that only had some very early renderings and in 2015 they announced plans for a North Central Airlines Commemorative Exhibit featuring a former NCA DC-3 and the North Central Airlines Commemorative Library:

The Texas Museum of Military History announced plans for a large building in 1981. Now, you might be wondering why it is being mentioned in a thread about aviation museums. That's because after the fundraising effort failed, it eventually became the Dyess Memorial Center and Linear Air Park:

This artist's sketch shows the Texas Museum of Military History, whose site was dedicated today at Dyess AFB. The museum will trace the military history of Texas, beginning with the 16th century. The initial structure will cost between $850,000 and $1,150,000. It will be near the Dyess main gate.

Before the South Dakota Air and Space Museum received the four former F-89 alert hangars and two story building in which it is now housed, it had plans for a brand new 10,000 square foot building:

A somewhat older one, but the DeLand Naval Air Station Museum disassembled, moved and reassembled their annex building on their current property in 2018-2019:

That museum at the Sheboygan Wisconsin Airport (KSBM) is a small jewel and well worth a visit. There is a lot of North Central Airlines memorabilia as well as a large model collection. They also have a T28 on display with information on the Hmong contribution in Viet Nam. My wife has family in the area and rather than sit with her and her sisters, I head to the airport.

Not a museum, but somewhat similar to one is the Lufthansa Conference and Visitor Centre at Frankfurt Airport. This is where their Ju 52, D-AQUI, and L-1649, N7316C, will be displayed:

Although Hangar Bay One was tangentially mentioned in a previous post about plans for a further expansion, it was not the focus. The 55,000 square foot structure was built in November 2010:

The New England Air Museum, which was mentioned in a pair of previous posts (1, 2), has plans for a new 40,000 square foot hangar. The new structure will include a "manufacturing pavilion" and a planetarium. Although I can't find the reference at the moment, there are also suggestions of a satellite location that sounds similar in concept to the Exploration of Flight campus at Wings Over the Rockies:

When the Castle Air Museum was first being established the following layout was proposed:

VINTAGE PARKING - An Air Force artist's sketch shows the future parking area for Castle AFB's air museum, scheduled for official opening sometime next year. Although the sketch shows admission through the main gate, a new museum entrance will route visitors away from the base itself. Ground for the museum was broken Saturday.

Lastly, the Northern Battle of Britain Memorial was installed at the South Yorkshire Aviation Museum and the renderings were made available on a website.
