The F3A has been completed and flying since 2018. It lives in Colorado Springs now and usually flies in their yearly airshow.

The F4U-1 at the Classic Jets Fighter Museum is based on the center section of BuNo.02270.

There is a composite F4U-1 project at California Aerofab which features the rear fuselage and tail of BuNo.02270, and if it advances to a flying aicraft it will likely be registered with that identity.

The F4U-1 which is in an advanced state of restoration to fly at Vultures Row Aviation is BuNo.02449.
