Some positive Spitfire news after yesterday's sadness is that T.9 MJ444 has been doing engine runs, so hopefully not long before she flies

N3N Question

A friend just restored one to flight.
It has always been registered, but never assembled or flown, so it's "new" to the active warbird community.

So....
How many N3Ns exist?
How many fly?
How many fly on floats?

Approximations are fine, just looking for a good number to tell those who look at it.
Thanks

Basler just commissioned a new Turbo 3 - N856RB (Former C-FYQG)

Thank you for keeping me up-to-date! I've added Basler BT-67 N856RB to the list.

Also, although it hasn't physically made it there yet, I've moved Spitfire Mk.IX MH415 from the UK to Germany, as it was finally made public this week that George Raab (Flying Legends) is the new owner. Mr. Raab also owns and regularly operates the gorgeous P-51D 'Frances Dell' and F4U-5 'Devotion'.

With Fagen Fighters' Curtiss SB2C-5 Helldiver, BuNo.83393, having now flown, it has been added to the list. The registration is N48HD. The plan is still to have it at Oshkosh this week.

The Westpac/National Museum of WWII Aviation SB2C-1A Helldiver, BuNo.75552, which has just recently now been fully painted, is just about ready to take flight too. The hope is to have it ready in-time to be flying for the Pikes Peak Airshow, August 17/18.

Peter Monk's Spitfire Mk.IX MK912 has been added to the list, having been successfully test flown earlier today (July 31st) at Biggin Hill Airport in the UK, piloted by the highly skillful Dan Griffith: https://flyaspitfire.com/2024/07/31/spi ... npsA64UtWA

Nine years ago, on August 1, 2015, Dan Griffith faced an engine failure very shortly after takeoff in this aircraft, and performed an emergency forced landing which resulted in significant damage to the airframe, but fortunately Dan Griffith walked away from it with relatively minor injuries. It's great to see Mr. Griffith take the aircraft back into the skies again on its first post-restoration flight. The aircraft looks absolutely stunning inside and out!

A number of Mustang movements taking place in recent days... the long-time New Zealand-based P-51D ZK-TAF is soon heading to a new home in eastern Australia, the P-51B 'Impatient Virgin' has made it to its new home on the east coast of the United States, and P-51D 'Shangri-La' (N51VF) will soon be heading to a new home in England. This also follows the P-51A N51Z (43-6006) having been sold to Walt Bowe back in June, which he brought to Oshkosh last week. Last month, the P-51B "Shillelagh' restoration at AirCorps Aviation was acquired by the Dakota Territory Air Museum with a planned completion at AirCorps in the summer of 2026.

Not mentioned here yet either is the growing Mustang collection based at Jumbolair in Florida, belonging to Bob Bull/Warbirds-3 LLC. With a few recent acquisitions this year, the collection has grown to include six Mustangs, those being; the P-51B 'Old Crow', P-51D 'Gentleman Jim', P-51D 'ex-Geraldine', P-51D 'The Rebel', TF-51D 'Tiger's Revenge' and the blue-nose TF-51D N351B.

"Ex-Geraldine"?! Has it been repainted?
