The last photo looks like a Temco TF-51.
Correct?

Yes: with TEMCO 05Sep50; to TF-51D on assignment to 3615th PTW at Craig AFB on 10Sep51. It served with the 126th FIS from 02Jan53 to 04Mar54.

Having visited Volk Field a few years back, the Mustang is no longer easily visible from the front gate.
I believe it was much closer in the early '80s.

You are correct, Volk field first aircraft inside the gate. Yes, I do have photos of many/most of the other aircraft there. I won't hijack Mark's great thread though.

Not sure how easy it is to see from the front gate, but it's easy to walk right up and touch it after entering the gate. it's part of the museum, one just needs to go through the visitor process.
