18 years ago. A sad event, I was there that day.

Still need to get a complete list of all the concept German aircraft replicas at Yagen's place.

P-47D and P-51D Tallichet replicas updated. The P-47 is at MAPS in storage currently, and the P-51 is going to Pittsburg? Any extra info out there for the Mustang?

Guessing the fiberglass P-51 is to replace this one that was at the ANG Base at Greater PIT.

Added is the N1K "George" replica now on display at the Uzurano Airfield Museum in Kasai, Hyogo, Japan. There is also a nicely refurbished AT-6 which looks like its sitting in an original revetment. It appears the museum is building a second, larger hangar that I believe will hold either a replica or original Zero.

Just added, the FW 61 at the Hubschraubermuseum in Bückeburg, Germany. If you know of a replica airplane that isn't on the list, let me know!

This is a great list and an awesome resource! Might be worth turning this into a sticky that can be updated, similar to the airworthy warbirds thread.

I have two additions for consideration, those being the P-26 Peashooter replicas that Tim O'Connor was building in Indiana. Tim unfortunately passed away last fall and I don't know the current status of the projects. This website has a lot of pictures:

Hopefully, someone can see these through to completion.

Not previously mentioned on this thread, I think - anyone know the current status of the Curtiss Jenny replica that was at the Chanute museum when it closed?

A correction for the #1 post.

A ME-262 is listed at the Evergreen Museum in Washington.
The "Evergreen museum" is in McMinnville, Oregon.

Also, it's correct name isn't "Evergreen" ....rather the Captain Michael Smith Air and Space Center (or similar,)...but everyone calls it the Evergreen museum.

Also some additions...
Boeing 40B...two at The Museum of Flight, Seattle.
One is complete, the other shows it under construction in a display in the old Boeing Red Barn facility.

Also, I have a strong hunch there are more Curtiss Jenny replicas out there than those listed.

Thanks for the edit on the 262. I've updated it, but have left the name Evergreen since that's what seems to be the official name for the museum across there website, Wikipedia, social media, etc.

New addition! A full scale Nakajima B5N "Kate" has just gone on display at the Uzurano Airfield Museum in Kasai, Hyogo, Japan.

This full scale replica joins a detailed out, full-scale replica N1K "George" that is pushed outside frequently (with period dressed flight crew and pilot)

And an original AT-6 on display in another location around the former airfield inside a wartime aircraft revetment.
