California now in “stay at home” mode. Unless there’s a currently unknown solution to the virus other than what’s just been announced, I see no POF show happening anytime soon.

Here's some inspiration for those like me, who have "stay-at-home" orders.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSfLGypJ_wU

Arnold Schwarzenegger is being slammed as “grotesque” over his PSA to get people to self-isolate during the coronavirus crisis — which featured him shirtless in a hot tub while puffing on a cigar.

“Here I am at home, taking a jacuzzi, smoking a little stogie,” the 72-year-old former governor of California said in Wednesday’s clip that he titled, “Stay. At. Home. That means you, too, spring breakers.”

“I just finished a bike ride and a little bit of workout and I just keep staying at home, away from the crowds and away from outside,” said the smiling Hollywood action hero, wearing nothing but sunglasses and a “Sheriff” cap.

Schwarzenegger was praised for the sentiment — but widely panned for his on-screen delivery while so many Americans are in crisis.

“This video clip right here is why Hollywood is so outta touch with the real world!” R Zelinsky replied, while Debby Hardy seethed, “Jeezus the ignorance level from the wealthy about what is happening to most of our lives …”

Many noted that self-isolation is very different in shoebox-size apartments with no outdoor space, let alone hot tubs.

“I’m tired of these ass—-s sending this message from the comfort of their spa with millions in the bank when so many of us are wondering if tomorrow will be the last day of our employment and the possibility of losing everything we’ve worked for is on the line,” Luke Martin raged.

@justice4gideon called the video “grotesque and unkind.”

“You sit in the hot tub while the rest of the world fights over [toilet paper] and bread,” she wrote. “This isn’t a vacation for the masses.”

Some, like @strestout, accused him of hypocrisy for “giving advice about avoiding a respiratory disease” while smoking.

Schwarzenegger said he made the clip after seeing “photographs and videos of people sitting at outside cafes all over the world and having a good time and hanging out in crowds.”

“That is not wise! Because that is how you can get the virus. That’s how you get it,” he said, insisting the US could “overcome this in no time” if everyone followed orders.

He ended with a nod to those stress-eating while stuck at home. “Put that cookie down!” he said, a line from his 1996 movie “Jingle All the Way.”

I think we need to stop fooling ourselves, if airshows are the only things that get canceled; we will be lucky...

Be safe,
Phil

Good luck finding an open beach, most of them are closed as of right now. They just closed the ones here in Panama City today. Don't know which are open or closed in the rest of the state.

The warbird world lost a great Italian stalwart yesterday to this insidious virus. Pino Valenti, Italian aerobatic champion, and owner of Fiat G46 and beautiful Fiat G59 is dead.

Pino was a good friend of mine and a man who was larger than life.

Blue skies and tailwinds 'Mio Amico'...

I am sorry for your loss.

Look after each other in these crazy uncertain times.

and yet the WWII generation went through the depression, polio, spanish flu, watching 100+ friends dying in combat, everyday, malaria, FDR and never once did they stay home and and feel sorry for themselves.
.
In today's time of instant communications, if somebody sneezes in Australia, Boston panics. If a soldier in Afghanistan gets a boo-boo, everybody is ready to surrender.

The WWII generation was tough

The only thing you said that makes any sense is "The WWII generation was tough".

FYI - Boston never panics...
